Once you have decided to move overseas there are many things that need to be done. Preparing for the move is one of these things. As sending items overseas takes time, it is important to start preparations well in advance. To ensure a timely delivery, please be sure to plan ahead and give yourself enough time to prepare.

1. 

   1. Pre-Move Survey

   Please decide which items you would like to send overseas.
   * It is not necessary to gather all the items that you would like to send in one place. Simply tell us which items you would like to send overseas.

   When choosing the pick-up date, please take into account the time required for overseas transport. Please also consider the fact that your goods can only be presented to customs after you arrive in the destination country. It is usual to schedule the pick-up date so that your goods arrive in the destination country at around the same time that you plan to arrive.

   

   Please be sure to check the restrictions on what you can bring into the country as they differ according to each country.

   2. Delivery of Packing Materials

   Should you wish to do some of the packing, we can have boxes and packing materials delivered before the move. (Please make a memo of the contents of the boxes that you pack.)

   For our overseas boxes, we use specially reinforced boxes for safer transport.

   3. Packing

   Please sort your belongings before the day of the move. Then simply tell our staff what you would like packed.

   Our professional staff will pack everything from large furniture and electronics such as computers and audio equipment, to breakable items such as dishes, taking into account the long time required for overseas transport.

   Our staff will take care of furniture requiring disassembly. (Except for items that are better to transport in their original state to ensure safe delivery.)

4. 

   4. Preparation of Packing List

   On the day of the move, our staff will prepare the packing list with details for each box.

   Please fill out the Customs forms required for your destination that our staff will bring on the day of the move.Although we always take great care with our packing, we do recommend that you purchase shipping insurance.Please note that as part of airfreight security measures, your boxes sent by our air freight service will be inspected at the airport.

   5. Pickup

   Our professional staff will handle your belongings with care.

   The move can be scheduled on any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. You can move on a day when you do not have work, or when your children are off school.

6. 

   6. Customs Clearance

   Our staff will handle the Customs clearance process on your behalf both in Japan and overseas.

7. 

   7. Transport Overseas

   

   Your belongings are transported securely by being palletized and receiving further external packing. Transport by wooden crates can be arranged for distant locations and high value items.

   We offer both sea freight and air freight services to meet your needs.

8. 

   8. Schedule Delivery

   Once your belongings clear Customs at the destination, our staff will contact you to schedule the delivery. (Please confirm the delivery address and let us know when you would like delivery scheduled.)

   *Deliveries on weekends and holidays are not available in most regions – please contact us for details.

9. 

   9. Delivery

   Our professional staff will handle the delivery of your belongings. Please specify where you would like each item placed.

   We will reassemble furniture and other items that we disassembled when they were packed.

10. 

    10. Unpacking of Furniture

    Our staff will unpack furniture and reassemble items that were disassembled during packing. Please specify where you would like the furniture placed.

11. 

    11. Unpacking of Boxed Items

    We will unpack boxed items at your request. Please let us know which boxes you would like unpacked.

12. 

    12. Removal of Packing Materials

    Our staff will take away all of the opened boxes and packing materials on the day of the move. (If there are any unopened boxes, we can return to collect them once you have finished unpacking.)
