When moving to Japan, you will need to fill out a customs declaration form. The purpose of the customs declaration form is to notify Japanese Customs that you will be sending unaccompanied baggage – belongings besides the suitcases that you have with you at the airport. This declaration must be made at the airport and not at a later date. You may obtain the form from cabin crew on your flight to Japan, or from our staff before you depart. Please be sure to submit two forms. Should there be any import duty, you will be asked to pay the tax at the airport for items in your hand luggage; for import duty on your unaccompanied baggage (items entrusted to us) we will ask that you pay the tax at delivery.
